1. The Power of Positive Parenting (13 April 2013, 2pm-4pm)

This seminar introduces parents to the five core principles of positive parenting: Creating a safe interesting environment, having a positive learning environment, using assertive discipline, having realistic expectations and looking after yourself as a parent. It's a chance for parents to hear about positive parenting, to meet other parents and to ask questions.

2. Raising Confident, Competent Children (4 May 2013, 2pm-4pm)

The second seminar introduces parents to the six key building blocks children need to do well in life. These skills include showing respect, being   cooperative, being considerate of others, becoming independent, having healthy self-esteem, and becoming a good problem solver.

3. Raising Resilient Children (25 May 2013, 2pm-4pm)

The final seminar deals with how parents can help their children deal more effectively with emotions or feelings. The building blocks covered in the seminar include helping children recognise and accept their feelings, express their feeling appropriately, build positive feelings, deal with negative feelings, develop coping skills, and deal with upsetting or stressful life events.
